Field Service Technician (m/f/d) - Service

Location: work from home with travel to customer locations throughout Texas (Corporate Office in Holbrook, NY)

 

As a customer-focused Field Service Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our installation base across New Jersey. Your primary responsibilities will include providing on-site technical support, performing maintenance tasks and handling equipment commissioning. By directly assisting our valued customers at their manufacturing sites, you will contribute to maintaining high-quality service and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent custoimer service abilities and the flexibility to travel as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • On-Site Technical Support: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Minebea Intec products at customer locations
  • Installation & Maintenance: perform installation, calibration and preventive maintenance on weighing and inspection equipment
  • Customer Training: Provide training and support to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, prepare detailed reports and provide documentation to customers
  • Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with sales, customer service and inside technical support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience 
 

Qualifications & Competencies:

 

  • Experience of inspection machinery such as Checkweighers, X-Ray and Metal Detection
  • Experience in servicing weighing equipment or similar products
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Knowledge of the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries
  • Familiarity with PLCs, industrial software programming and industrial communication
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
  • Excellent customer service communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Valid driver´s license and willingness to travel within the state, also possibly Germany for training with overnight stays as and when required
