Field Service Technician (m/f/d) - Service

Location: work from home with travel to customer locations throughout Texas (Corporate Office in Holbrook, NY)
As a customer-focused Field Service Technician, you will play an important role in ensuring the smooth operation of our installation base across New Jersey. Your primary responsibilities will include providing on-site technical support, performing maintenance tasks and handling equipment commissioning. By directly assisting our valued customers at their manufacturing sites, you will contribute to maintaining high-quality service and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent custoimer service abilities and the flexibility to travel as needed.
Responsibilities:
On-Site Technical Support: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Minebea Intec products at customer locations
Installation & Maintenance: perform installation, calibration and preventive maintenance on weighing and inspection equipment
Customer Training: Provide training and support to customers on the proper use and maintenance of equipment
Technical Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, prepare detailed reports and provide documentation to customers
Cross-functional Support: Collaborate with sales, customer service and inside technical support teams to ensure a seamless customer experience
Qualifications & Competencies:
Experience of inspection machinery such as Checkweighers, X-Ray and Metal Detection
Experience in servicing weighing equipment or similar products
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
Knowledge of the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries
Familiarity with PLCs, industrial software programming and industrial communication
Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
Excellent customer service communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Valid driver´s license and willingness to travel within the state, also possibly Germany for training with overnight stays as and when required
